Wind Energy Investments

The AWEI is in the process of establishing the "Plant a Wind Mill" community fund. This fund aims to raise investments to assist:

  • The primary producers to offset their carbon costs by becoming energy farmers.
  • Major Companies and small business owners in offsetting their carbon costs by becoming shareholders in a single Wind Mill or a Wind Farm.
  • To allow individual households to become shareholders in a Wind Mill or a Wind Farm.

Who should apply:

The scheme is designed for individuals, community groups, companies and small business owners.

Project Philosophy

The philosophy of the project is simple. As individuals our CO2 footprint is small. As a nation, Australia is one of the largest CO2 producers in the world. Instead of putting our money into trees, which are no doubt an important carbon sink if we want to soak up Australia's CO2 emissions, this project aims at not producing any CO2 in the first place. The objective is to turn Australia in a Zero emission country by producing 100% of our energy needs from clean renewable and proven technology. If Denmark can produce 104% of its energy needs from wind energy, the size of Australia's coastline  suggests, that we could produce enough clean energy for export.

The project is currently in its establishment phase. If you are interested in further information please contact Mr. S. Angerer. If you wish to invest in the fund or become an AWEI member please register your membership details.
