AWEI Cooperative Membership has its advantages. The Cooperative will connect members with each other ensuring that electricians, contractors, testing and accrediting agents are qualified and of the highest standard. Feedback about the quality of the service through the Cooperative will ensure equity in the service pricing and the achievement of assured QA standards.

Types of Funds available

The 'Plant a Wind Mill Foundation has several funds available. You can nominate where you wish your membership funds to go, or you can let us decide.

  • The Remote area fund - This fund aims to assist the rural sector and remote aboriginal stations in achieving energy independence.
  • The Urban and Regional Energy Regeneration fund - This fund aims to assist local government in achieving  sustainable energy solutions. The main focus of the fund is to assist councils in reducing infrastructure energy consumption in the area of street lighting, council owned buildings and with drafting a sustainable energy neutral regulatory framework.
  • The sustainable Housing Fund - This fund works with Architects, Developers, Engineers, Local Planning and Regulatory bodies in achieving energy neutral housing. The fund is heavily involved in the refurbishment of existing buildings to achieve buildings that are net energy producers.
  • The overseas development fund - This fund provides funding for third world projects such as orphanages and schools. The AWEI has several projects on the books in countries such as Cambodia, Sierra Leone, Indonesia and others. The projects are eligible for carbon offset concessions.
  • The community development fund - This fund aims at community groups, cooperatives and sustainable living centers in establishing these organizations as net energy producers.
  • The small business fund - The small business fund is aimed at assisting small business in Australia in achieving a zero energy consumption target. We have several small businesses on the books who aim to reach zero energy consumption targets.
  • The Wind Mill Investment fund - This fund allows individuals, companies, government and community groups to invest in a wind mill owned and operated by members. By investing in a Wind Mill your investment becomes eligible for a carbon offset concession.

Note:

Buying Shares in the 'Plant a Wind Mill Foundation' - The Foundation is not yet a public company. Shares are owned by registered members under a cooperative membership arrangement. A share market float is planed for 2010/11 with member approval.

Individual: $ 70.00 Apply Now

Concession: $ 35.00 (student and pensioners) Apply Now

 

Please do not declare your credit card details or any personal financial information in your email. The AWEI will acknowledge your membership by emailing you a membership form. The AWEI will issue an invoice upon receipt of your membership form. This receipt and a copy of your membership form should be retained by you for taxation purposes.


Privacy and Audit Declaration

The AWEI adheres to Australian Privacy Regulations. All funds in the 'Plant a Wind Mill Foundation' are subject to annual independent audits.
